I know I'll always be thankful to the beautiful woman who decided to continue a very difficult pregnancy for me to be here today. She's my ultimate hero, and I'll always try to make her proud. Yay for moms and for those people who took on the job as well!

The Three Kings
If you're not familiar with this tradition, let me sum it up for you. It's basically a Christian tradition rooted in the nativity story, which describes that three wise men followed the bright star for days to find the new born king. They were carrying gifts of myrrh, incense (or frankincense) and gold. So on January 6th, kids wake up to gifts from The Three Kings – some versions of the Bible say there were "kings" instead of "wise men". In Argentina, where I am from, kids usually leave a bowl of water and some hay (aka grass from the backyard) for the camels, since they must be very hungry and tired. Sort of like "cookies for Santa" but without the calories. This way Christmas gets extended for an extra 10 days, and it's the last chance to get that toy you wanted and didn't get!

Mmm... Paint markers!
I started a project that requires some doodles on wood, so I decided to practice a little bit before hand. I found these wood plates that were perfect for it and I had some fun with them.

Summer is over. Let's doodle!
I guess you have a different appreciation for summer if you live in Chicago, hence the lack of doodles during the few months of sunny weather I get to enjoy. But when trees start turning colors and my favorite hoodie is out of the closet I seem to get more creative in general. Anyway, here's my first sketch of the season on my brand new Moleskin.

Food Monsters #1
These days I find myself without too much time to draw for fun, so I decided to combine two of my favorite things... doodles and food! I found this app called YouDoodle which allows drawing on top of pictures, so instead of just snapping a photo of my delicious meals and uploading them to Instagram (boring!), I turn my snacks into unknown creatures...which I eat later.

The Year of the Brave Bear
My friend Berni Xiong just published her first book, and I had the pleasure to make the cover art.
She is one inspiring gal and you can see it for yourself in here

Walking in the rain
I've been thinking a lot about doing a 2D animated series, but first I need to remember how to do certain things. It's been a while! This is just a short exercise to try a couple of new tools.

Two Seconds of Beach
I'm a student at AnimSchool, in the Character Animation program. This was the last assignment I had to do for my first class. I thought it'd be fun to light the scene and render it.
If anybody's been following my posts, they could tell there's a common thing going on. Yes, I want to go to the beach and enjoy some warm weather! This winter's been rough in Chicago...
